Welcome to Catholic Country Chronicles!

Whether you are new to the Catholic Country Chronicles family or have been a reader from the start, we are glad you are here! Over the past three and a half years, this blog has been a place for us to share how the Lord is moving in our lives. We felt it was time to reintroduce ourselves with the hope that you are able to connect more deeply with our stories.

Who We Are

We are sisters, Leah and Abby. Growing up in a big family, storytelling has always been a significant part of our lives. Stories helped us connect with one another and our Catholic faith and taught us how to appreciate the fine details of life.

Having many sisters, our upbringing was certainly unique. The running joke always was and still is to some that we are the "eight maids 'a milkin'!"

We are excited to share how the Lord is working in our lives through storytelling and hope that a story or two will resonate with you.

Leah

Leah Brix is a published author of St. Joseph’s Hammer and the co-founder of Catholic Country Chronicles.  She is passionate about the Catholic Faith, and making it accessible to everyday people.

She is the mother of 8 young children.  She and her husband, Adam, live on a 200-acre farm raising corn and soybeans.  She finds time to write during nap time, in the car at wrestling practice, and on the sidelines of soccer games.

Through the medium of words, she hopes to paint a message of hope into the heads and hearts of her readers.

Abby

Abby is a co-founder of Catholic Country Chronicles. As a former music educator, she has a deep love for music ministry. She sings professionally for weddings and funerals, in addition to leading praise and worship at events throughout the diocese.

Abby is a wife to Dylan and mother of two beautiful girls. Blogging has become a fond way for her to share her Catholic faith while being able to stay home and care for her children.  When she isn’t on a walk around the neighborhood, she is hosting her moms group or inviting a friend over for a playdate. Abby loves to host and keeps her coffee pot on standby!
