I like to think of ordo amoris as the ripple effect after a stone has been thrown into water. When our love is rightly ordered, our capacity to love expands as each ripple gets bigger. 

I can’t be the only one to feel like the overabundant tree. I am unafraid to say ‘yes’ until I begin breaking under the weight and pressure of my obligatory fruit. The fruit may be good… but is it good for me? 

But what if, instead of punishing myself for not being able to do it all alone, I accept it? What would happen if I was vulnerable enough to allow my weaknesses to be shown? How would my heart feel if I opened my clenched fists instead of clinging to control?
